キベリアオゴミムシの学名はChlaenius (Chlaeniellus) lineellus Motschulsky, 1859となりこれまで使われていたChlaenius circumductus A. Morawitz, 1862が新参シノニムとなる。
キボシアオゴミムシChlaenius (Lissauchenius) posticalis Motschulsky, 1854にアムールから記載されたChlaenius semipurpureus Motschulsky, 1865が新参シノニムに加わる（つまり日本産に変更なし）。
日本のクマガイクロアオゴミムシは、学名がgebleriやsulcicollisが使われてきたがその理由や経緯が判らないものの、本論文で学名がChlaenius (Agostenus) quadrisulcatus (Paykull, 1790)に確定。
