これまで日本から記録がなかったLaricobius属が上記論文で2種も追加された。L. osakensis Montgomery & Shiyake, 2011は大阪をタイプロカリティとし本州〜四国〜九州から知られる。L. naganoensis Leschen, 2001は木曽御嶽山をタイプロカリティとし木曽御嶽山と乗鞍岳周辺でのみ記録されている。両者は木曽御嶽山などで同所的に得られており、ホストも同じ。雄交尾器の形状等により区別できるほか、上翅の色彩でも容易に区別される。
