ニュージーランドからはCupedidaeが見つかっていなかったようだが、Distocupes variansが記録された。飛んできたのだろうと予想している。
SLAM (Sea, Land, Air, Malaise) trapで最初の2頭が採れたとのことで、SLAM trapというのがどんなものなのか写真が出ていたが、簡易版のマレーゼトラップだった。追加でiNaturalistに写真が出たとのこと。
