テントウムシ科やテントウムシダマシ科の中で忘れ去られていたCerasommatidiidaeを再検討したところ、Mycetaeidaeの姉妹群で独立科として扱うべきと結論付けている。新たに3新属6新種を記載し、科全体で4属9種としている。分布は南米とマダガスカル。PDFの版組が変になっているところがあり、あとでちゃんと修正されるのだろうか。
