Megasterniniの分子系統解析の結果、Megasternina Mulsantと新亜族Oosterninaに分けている。新亜族にはOosternum Sharpのほかにオーストラリアの属など10属以上が入れられている。日本産についてはOosternumだけが新族だと思われる。
