北部タイから記載されたPyrops shiinaorum Nagai & Porion, 2002をマレーシアから記載されたPyrops itoi (Satô & Nagai, 1994)の新参シノニムにしている。両方ともEUMJにホロタイプが保管されている。写真を撮影して送って欲しいと言われ送った記憶がある。
