メスの口器（と頭部）の左右非対称性がみられるニホンホホビロコメツキモドキとほぼ左右対称のオビモンヒメコメツキモドキを比較して、産卵マーク（COM: completed oviposition mark）との関係を考察している。後者のホストがトダシバArundinella hirtaだという有用な情報がさらりと書かれている。
