アルゼンチンの糞虫Canthon chalybaeus Blanchard, 1843が陸産貝類のBulimulus apodemetes (D’Orbigny, 1835) を捕食したという報告。他の陸産貝類は襲っているところが確認されていないという。pygidial glandsの化学組成を調べ捕食の際の化学的武器として使用している可能性も示唆している。
