6新種3新亜種を記載。日本のリュウキュウオオイチモンジシマゲンゴロウH. pacificus sakishimanus Nakane, 1990はオオイチモンジシマゲンゴロウH. pacificus conspersus Regimbart, 1899のシノニムとされた。本種H. pacificus Aube, 1838はインドシナからインドネシア、中国、日本と広く分布し、斑紋もかなり変異がありそう。その中の亜種H. pacificus conspersus Regimbart, 1899は台湾、中国、韓国、日本（琉球＋本州）に分布していることになっている。妥当そうだけど、何か気になる。
